Mrig Vihar Zoo / Deer Park in Almora

One of Almora’s most visited spots is Deer Park, where tall pine trees enhance the area’s abundant natural beauty. There are many deer, fierce Himalayan bears, and untamed leopards in this park, and they may all be observed moving freely. In addition, the area is a wonderful place for a daytime stroll.

With a couple of rescued leopards, a Himalayan Black Bear, three different kinds of deer, a White Deer, and a White (Albino) Rhesus Monkey, it’s more of a rehabilitation institute than a zoo. Seniors may find it challenging to climb and descend to all five of the zoo’s various animal cages due to its size. Plenty of parking is available outside the zoo. Come here only if you have enough of free time.
