Shirdi - The land of Sai Baba
Sai Baba resides in Shirdi, which is 122 km from Nasik in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Sai Baba is said to have come to Shirdi in 1858 and lived here for sixty years till 1918, when he reached liberation. Because of his constant promotion of the idea of universal brotherhood, Sai Baba is commonly referred to as the "child of God."
In addition to his shrine, the compound contains other smaller temples, including Dwarkamai, Samadhi Mandir, and Chavadi. Shirdi is located 72 kilometres away from Shani Shignapur.
How to Reach Shirdi
All of India's major cities have good road connections to Shirdi. Trains can also be used to go to Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Manmad. From there, one can take a bus or a private vehicle to Shirdi. There is also the option of flying to Pune and Mumbai and then driving to Shirdi.
