October through June are the ideal months to visit Coorg because of the favourable weather—that is, there isn't any rain. It is advisable to avoid visiting in late July and early August during the monsoon season owing to excessive rainfall and landslides.

How to Reach Coorg

Coorg can only be reached by car. Numerous public and private buses travel from Karnataka's major cities to Coorg. There isn't a train station in Coorg; the closest one is 120 kilometres away in Mysore. Travellers can take a bus or taxi from Mangalore (152 km) to Coorg, which is home to the closest airport.
