Kashmir, sometimes called the "Paradise on Earth," is a stunning area in northwest India. Jammu & Kashmir, which was formerly a part of the princely state, was designated as a Union Territory in 2019. The Kashmir Valley's principal cities include Baramulla, Anantnag, Gulmarg, and Srinagar. Tucked away in the Himalayan mountain ranges of the Pir Panjal and Karakoram, it is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, snow-capped peaks, an abundance of wildlife, magnificent monuments, friendly locals, and handicrafts.

The Gulmarg Gondola, Asia's longest cable car, is located in Kashmir and offers a captivating experience. You must see the Shikara on Srinagar's Dal Lake! Not to be missed are the magnificent Mughal gardens, including as Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashm-E-Shahi.

Trekking and hiking trails in Kashmir are breathtaking, replete with towering pine trees, enormous glaciers, lush meadows, and some of the most breathtaking mountain peaks. Tarsar Marsar and the Great Lakes Trek in Kashmir are two well-liked trekking routes. Amarnath and Vaishno Devi draw a large number of pilgrims each year, despite the fact that adventure sports like skiing, golfing, river rafting, paragliding, and camping make the trip to Kashmir more thrilling.

Wazwan, or Kashmiri food, is renowned worldwide. Thus, sampling the regional cuisine in Kashmir, which is abundant in unusually aromatic spices, is a must. Must-buy items from the Lal Chowk Market are the dried fruits (walnuts and almonds), Kashmiri apples, and shawls.
