All of the species are housed in an open tank on the building’s top floor. Large specimens of foreign fish, such as koi, angelfish, scorpionfish, and the native karimeen, can be found in the aquarium.
The Kerala Fisheries Department is in charge of maintaining the Varkala Aquarium. Additionally, the aquarium features a 3D theater where more fish species are explained using 3D technology. The aquarium has many information sections and is quite instructive, especially for children. The building also offers views of the Arabian Sea’s blue seas and the picturesque Varkala Cliff.
