One of the most important and visited temples in Mumbai is the Siddhivinayak Temple, a hallowed shrine devoted to Lord Ganesha in the Prabhadevi neighbourhood. In 1801, Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil constructed this temple. The couple chose to construct the Siddhivinayak temple in order to grant the desires of other infertile women because they were childless. It’s interesting to note that this statue of Lord Ganesha is thought to grant wishes and manifest himself.

The idol of Shri Ganesha, which is constructed of a single piece of black stone and is roughly two and a half feet broad, is housed in a small sanctum within the temple. In addition to the fact that the Ganesha in the temple is thought to be particularly adored, the temple has gained appeal among movie stars and other influential people in the business. Because it receives INR 100 million in donations annually from followers worldwide, it is also the wealthiest temple in Mumbai.
