Following this, the temple surrounding his Samadhi was built by Bikaner’s Maharaja Ganga Singh. Baba Ramdevji, a 14th-century saint, is eternally buried at the shrine. The saint, who had magical abilities and dedicated his life to helping the underprivileged in society, is regarded by Muslims as Ramshah Pir and by Hindus as Lord Krishna. His worshipers are spread across Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat that cut across caste barriers among Hindus and Muslims.

Ramdevji Baba, a Rajput who was born into the Tomar Rajput family in the late 14th century, is the subject of the Ramdevra Temple. Early in life, Ramdevji gave up his materialistic lifestyle and became a saint in recognition of his service to humanity. He is said to have worked multiple miracles and slain a demon. Baba Ramdevji took Samadhi to voluntarily leave his mortal body when he was 33 years old. At the precise spot where Baba took Samadhi, Maharaja Ganga Singh, King of Jodhpur and Bikaner, constructed the Ramdevra Temple in the early 1900s. The Muslim community considered Ramdevji to be a celestial entity and a reincarnation of Lord Krishna ever since he dedicated his life to the well-being of his people.
