Bhairavnath Devasthan is located in Rajmachi, close to Lonavala, in a location known as Dhak. Shiva in the guise of Bhairav is the main deity of this very old temple. The temple’s design is reminiscent of Shiva temples found in other Konkan locales. The temple is set against the backdrop of exciting, naturally occurring woodland areas. The temple’s grounds provide a spiritual feeling thanks to the gentle air and calm surroundings. There is a slick path that leads to the temple. The main sanctum sanctorum is surrounded by numerous lesser shrines dedicated to other Hindu gods and goddesses. The most well-known celebration here is Maha Shivaratri, when hundreds of devotees come to the temple with numerous offerings.
