The charming and lovely Thirunelli Temple is situated at the base of the Brahmagiri hills. One of the most well-known temples in Wayanad, it is devoted to Lord Vishnu. It is a masterwork of the straightforward yet captivating Keralan architectural style.
Temple of Thirunelli Another name for Wayanad is the “Kashi of the South.” The idol of Lord Vishnu is supposed to have been established by Lord Brahma in this ancient temple. Thirunelli got its name since it is thought that he discovered the idol on a gooseberry (amla) tree, which is called nelli in the area.
