Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, Delhi – Museum Timings, Entry Fees

On April 14, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, also known as the Prime Ministers’ Museum. Situated on Teen Murti Marg, the museum honours every Indian prime minister since independence and is adjacent to the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML). In addition to mementos, there’s a virtual helicopter ride and an audio-visual tour featuring talks from the Red Fort.

The estate was the ideal location for the museum because it was once home to former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The Toshakhana Zone, located in Building I of the museum, showcases the valuables that were donated to notable figures including as Nehru, Manmohan Singh, Vajpayee, and Narendra Modi. Additionally, there are other zones, sections, and rooms devoted to other facets of history. For example, India at Independence: The British Legacy uses room project mapping to illustrate the agricultural and economic conditions of India during the British era. The discussions and materials produced by the Constituent Assembly are on exhibit in the Making of the Constitution chamber. Democracies and the parliament are demonstrated in Democratic India. The India-China War Room contains wartime photos and documents. The Nehru Gallery, his study room, sitting room, bedroom are also open for visitation.

The Prime Ministers of India are introduced in a Parichay chamber located in Building II. Each Indian prime minister’s zone features their bio, speeches, and other content. In addition, the Time Machine room virtually depicts the changes that have occurred in India over time, while the Bhavishya ki Jhalkiya takes tourists on a helicopter journey that explores what the country’s future holds. One can use augmented reality to snap a selfie with the prime minister, or they can use a handwriting robot to create a message that the prime minister signs and brings home. The Prime Ministers’ Museum is an excellent resource for learning about India’s past, present, and future from the perspectives of well-known political leaders because of all of this and more.
