Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur – Timings, Boating, Best Time to Visit

Located northwest of Udaipur, Fateh Sagar Lake is a manmade lake named for Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar. It is the second largest of Udaipur City’s four lakes and was constructed in 1687. This Aravali background makes boating a must-do pastime. Customers have access to a variety of boat types, from which you can select your preferred model. You have to come here to see the breathtaking sunsets, which happen at this location!

By traveling along the Moti Magri Road, one may see the perimeter of the Fateh Sagar Lake and have an amazing vista of the entire body of water. The Fateh Sagar Lake is separated into three separate islands and has an area of one square km. The biggest, Nehru Park, has a kid’s zoo and a restaurant built like a boat. It’s also a well-known location for picnics.

There are water jet fountains in a public park on the second island. The Udaipur Solar Observatory, the greatest solar observation location in Asia, is located on the third island.

When there is a drought and little rainfall, the lake’s water storage cannot accommodate demand. The lake’s surface is sprayed with cetyl alcohol, sometimes known as hexadecanol, to stop water loss from evaporation.
