Lighthouse, Dwarka

The beach is also close to a lighthouse. In order to give the Kachchhi warships safety and shelter, Maharao Deshalji, the monarch of Kachchh, constructed a tiny fort and an 11-meter-tall black masonry unlit beacon known as the Mojap beacon in 1720–1721. Since 1977, the top of the cabin has had a battery-operated flashing light, which was the first light in the area. This came when a Racon was put into service in 1978. In 1983, the PRB-21 lighting equipment was installed and the current 30 m RCC building was constructed. In 1997, 100W halogen auto headlights took the place of the imported sealed beam lamps in order to save energy. The lighthouse was damaged during the earthquake on 26th January 2001 but was restored immediately.

Jamnagar, which is around 138 kilometers away, is the closest airport to Shivrajpur Beach. It has easy access to all of India’s main cities. The closest train station to Shivrajpur Beach is Dwarka, which is 14 km away and takes about 25 minutes to get there. Notably, there is no public transportation available to Shivrajpur Beach once you arrive in Dwarka. Thus, you can pay Rs for a 12-kilometer ride in a local rickshaw (chhakda).

The closest towns to Shivrajpur Beach are Okha, which is around 23 km away, and Dwarka, which is 13 km away. Direct buses to Dwarka are accessible from Jamnagar and Ahmedabad. Shivrajpur Beach is well-connected to Gujarat’s major towns by road.
