Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu
When you arrive, our representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel in a safe manner. The hotel is in Thamel, which is 8 kilometres southwest of the airport. Depending on traffic, it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get from the airport to the hotel.
After you have had a chance to freshen up at the hotel, we will take you on a tour of a few of Thamel's tourist attractions if you arrive early or by lunchtime.
We will give you an overview of the hike and transport you to a welcome supper in the evening.
Day 2 - Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding
Since we will be flying over rocky cliffs and a zigzag landscape, it is safer to take the aircraft to Lukla in the morning. The flight often departs in the morning. Since morning flights avoid the strong wind and the weather is clearer, we recommend them. Following the 35-minute flight to Lukla, we will get ready for the journey and eat a clean, fresh breakfast there. After that, we set off on our journey to our ideal location. Phakding will be our next destination. Although there are a few easy downhill hikes along the way, the majority of the path is flat.
This hike is a fantastic place to start because it prepares us for the other treks during the adventure and helps us get acclimated along the way. After passing through a few towns and taking in the breathtaking scenery, we will eventually arrive in Phakding.
We are going to spend the night at Phakding. However, you may walk farther to Monjo if you wanted to shorten the trail for the following day.
Day 3 - Trek to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, we begin our journey by travelling through Monjo, Jorsale, and the Everest National Park entrance. After crossing the Hillary suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, we march upward for four hours. We have our first glimpse of Everest during our ascent. In addition to taking pictures in this charming town, you may visit different monasteries, Sherpa settlements, and neighbourhood cafes while meandering around Namche Bazar's winding lanes and chatting with the people.
You will have a fantastic opportunity to witness the Haat Bazar, also known as the weekly market or farmers market, where farmers and traders sell their wares from stalls, if you are fortunate enough to arrive to Namche Bazar on a Tuesday. This bustling market is a great place to purchase mementos to bring home.
Day 4 - Acclimatization and Explore around Namche Bazaar
Most of our trips typically include two days for acclimatisation in Namche. However, you have two options for things to do today. The first alternative is that you can trek up to Syangboche early in the morning for a daybreak view from where a stunning view of daybreak peeking through the Himalayas, as well as landscape and Namche Bazar view from the mountaintop, can be observed.
It takes around two hours to go up and down to Syangboche. Following the trek, you may eat breakfast in the Everest View Hotel's courtyard while taking in views of the high Himalayas, including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, Kangtega, and Kusum Kangaru.
Following this, you can head back to the Namche hotel and take a nighttime stroll. The final destination on the journey is Namche Bazar, where you may buy essentials and take out cash.
Another choice is to walk to Khumjung Village on this day if Khumjung is not in your agenda for the return trip. This will be the greatest choice if you are open to going on a full-day vacation. It takes four to five hours to walk up and down.
Our knowledgeable guide will be pleased to take you to Khumjung Village if you consult him beforehand. Monasteries and the breathtaking view of the Himalayas are the village's main attractions. Sir Edmund Hillary has made numerous significant contributions to the people in Khumjung in the form of infrastructure.
Following this, you can head back to the Namche hotel and take a nighttime stroll.
Note: In order for us to tailor your trip, you must let us know in advance whether you would prefer to spend the second night in Khumjung rather than Namche.
Day 5 - Trek to Tengboche
After breakfast, you will begin your trek to Tengboche, the largest gompa (gumba) in the captivating Khumjung hamlet. From above Dudh Kosi, the magnificent trek continues. The breathtaking vista of the Khumbu region's mountains, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse, can be seen from this point on.
After that, you will walk through communities that are representative of the local culture and tiny tea shops that resemble locations from fables. You will then stop for lunch at Phunki Tenga.
Following lunch and leisure, you will trek for three hours to reach Tengboche, which is a difficult ascent. You will eventually reach Tengboche after more climbing, where you may take in breathtaking Himalayan views.
Day 6 - Trek to Dingboche
You begin your journey to Dingboche while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains. The barley, buckwheat, and potato fields are visible along the route.
Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or some local tea while exploring the village.
Day 7 - Trek to Lobuche
On this day, you will traverse a broad, verdant valley that is surrounded by the remarkable peaks of Tawache and Cholatse. Turning right will lead you to a hard ascent that will take you to the base of the Khumbu Glacier.
Lunch at the charming teahouse in Duglha will be fantastic. After that, proceed down a zigzag path that will lead you past the terminal moraine of the glacier.
There are numerous stone cairns at the summit of our ascent, which have been built as monuments to the courageous Sherpas who lost their lives while scaling the formidable Mount Everest.
Many small buildings may be seen at Lobuche as the trail climbs along the glacier. It will take about four to five hours to complete the entire trail.
Day 8 - Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep
The most anticipated day has finally arrived: the trek to Everest Base Camp. The walk today lasts seven hours, which is a little longer than in the past, but it is still worthwhile. You use Gorakshep to make up to the EBC.
At 5,180 meters above sea level, Gorakshep was the original base camp for Mount Everest. The rocky trail offers views of icebergs, glaciers, and snow peaks. At last, you arrive at Everest Base Camp.
Your trip to the Base Camp will also benefit from the amazing and remarkable scenery. You will now go back to Gorakshep to spend the night at a trekking lodge after spending some time here.
Day 9 - Trek to Kala Pathar and Back to Pheriche
You begin your early-morning hike to Kala Patthar today in order to witness the breathtaking alpine dawn. The breathtaking panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Pumori, Khumbutse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Lingtren, and other places is available to you. After roughly six hours of hiking, you arrive at Pheriche and check into a guest house for the night.
Day 10 - Trek back from Pheriche to Tengboche
Pheriche is where your journey starts, and Tengboche is where it finishes. You will go past verdant forests, stunning rivers, unusually constructed monasteries, and, in the distance, Mount Ama Dablam.
The day's travel back takes at least four to five hours. Enjoy breathtaking vistas as you walk through the mountain valley. To get to the top of a small ridge with stunning views of Kangtega, Amadablam, and Imja Valley, you will have to cross the Khumbu Khola and climb a hard trek.
Through a captivating forest of fir, juniper, and rhododendron, you will gradually ascend through the forest to arrive at Tengboche. During the spring season, you can totally feel the beauty of the magical rhododendron flowers. You will stay overnight at a guest house in Tengboche.
Day 11 - Trek back to Namche Bazaar
You will begin your journey to Dudh Kosi on this day, cross a bridge, then travel through verdant pine forests before arriving in Thasinga. Nevertheless, you will be able to see Kangtega and Thamserku. The trail then climbs over the valley and passes through Sanasa, a beautiful natural area. You will finally arrive at Namche from Tengboche at Kyangjuma.
Day 12 - Trek back to Lukla from Namche
On the final day of the journey, you will return to Lukla over a steep, rocky trail that crosses multiple suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. The bridges let you to cross through picturesque pine and rhododendron forests, as well as surreal Sherpa communities, before continuing on the treks to Lukla. Walking the entire trail takes about six to seven hours.
As you bring back many revitalising memories, the location becomes much more stunning. You will spend the night in a guest house in Lukla.
Day 13 - Fly to Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel
After leaving the Solukhumbu district, you will take a plane return to Kathmandu. The flight lasts roughly half an hour. In order to help you reach Everest Base Camp, the Himalayan Trekkers staff will be delighted to help.
We really hope your time with us and in Nepal was warm and memorable. We arrange a farewell meal where you may enjoy real Nepalese cuisine at a well-known Nepali restaurant after a little break spent in a hotel and touring some UNESCO-listed heritage sites.
