The Dalai Lama Temple, also called Tsuglakhang Temple, is a political and religious hub in Dharamsala that is brimming with Tibetan culture. Dalai Lama Temple Museum

The Dalai Lama Museum is one of the main attractions at the Tsuglakhang Complex. It features intricate images and photographs of Tibetan culture and the Dalai Lama. The museum, which was opened by the 14th Dalai Lama personally in 2000, also features a brief film about Buddhism’s teachings and culture. Except on Mondays, the museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is a little admission fee of INR 5.

Dalai Lama’s Preaching at Dalai Lama Temple 

The most anticipated events in the Dalai Lama Temple are the Dalai Lama’s sermons and preachings. His primary language of instruction is Tibetan. If you need assistance understanding, you can bring a translator with you. As an alternative, you can tune in to the sermons via the radio, which has built-in translations in a number of languages, including English, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese. It is recommended that you bring a cushion, a tumbler (for water or tea), and a cap because the seating is on the floor.

The Dalai Lama’s sermon dates are set far in advance and are available online. However, the Tibetan Branch Security Office in McLeod Ganj (near Hotel Tibet) is the only place to buy the tickets in person. Three days before to the event, registration is possible. Each person pays a service fee of INR 10 for each session. Additionally, a few days prior to the event, the teaching schedule is selected and then announced.

How To Reach Dalai Lama Temple
