Gulab Bari, Ayodhya – Timings, History, Best Time to Visit

The Gulab Bari, also called the Garden of Roses, is located in Vaidehi Nagar. It is the tomb of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula and his parents, the third Nawab of Faizabad (Oudh or Awadh).

In addition to fountains and lush vegetation, the Gulab Bari’s 18th-century edifice features pure Nawab-styled architecture and a wide variety of rose species. Gulab Bari is now protected as a piece of national heritage, having been listed under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act.

Legend of Gulab Bari, Ayodhya Dham

Gulab Bari, which was constructed by Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula himself, is among the numerous stunning structures that the Nawabs introduced at that time. Among the ruins of the unmatched Nawabi architecture are the tomb of his wife, Bahu Begum, and her home, also referred to as Moti Mahal. This two-story gravestone, which is surrounded by infinite rows of vibrant roses, was built directly in the middle of the Charbagh Garden and has two entries.
