Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum Ayodhya

Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum Ayodhya History & Entry Fee

It is thought that Tulsidas wrote the Ramcharita at the Tulsi Smarak Bhawan, which was established in honour of the saint-poet Goswami Tulsidas in the sixteenth century. Constructed in 1969 by then-Uttar Pradesh Governor Sri Vishwanath Das, the Smarak is situated near Rajgang Crossing on the eastern terminus of the National Highway in Ayodhya.

Apart from the extensive library that holds a wealth of literature, the Smarak also has a research institute known as the “Ayodhya Research Sansthan.” It is employed to research and supplement Ayodhya’s literary, cultural, and spiritual significance. In addition, the institution hosts a daily recitation of the Ramkatha and displays Ramayana crafts and artwork.

The Ram Katha Sanghralaya, a museum that has a high-quality collection of information, facts, and antiquities pertaining to Lord Sri Ram’s life and times, was also established by the government in 1988. In addition to the customary prayers, preaching, and devotional music, Tulsi Jayanti is celebrated with great fanfare on the seventh day of the month of Shravan.
