About 1.6 kilometers from the Golden Temple lies the Hindu temple known as Durgiana Temple, also called Lakshmi Narayan Temple, which is situated in the city of Amritsar. It has a striking similarity to the well-known Golden Temple and exudes the same tranquility, peace, and spirituality. In this ancient temple, there is a lovely Sarovar where idols of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi float. The basis for this architectural marvel was laid by Gur Shai Mal Kapoor, whose statue is located at the temple’s main entrance. The temple grounds are home to the unique and unusual sculpture of the sitting Hanuman. One of the main highlights at the temple is the fountain show which takes place in front of the main temple every evening.
At this hallowed location, there are numerous secondary temples in addition to the main temple. The Bara Hanuman Mandir, where the twins of Rama and Sita are fabled to have captured Hanuman. The Mata Sitla Mandir is devoted to Sitla, who is seated next to a brass lion and a Shiva Linga. The Goswami Tulsidas Mandir is devoted to Tulsidas and houses a rare handwritten copy of the Ramayana. The Sat Narain Mandir is home to idols of Sat Narain and Radha Krishna.

The architecture of the Durgiana TempleÂ
The Golden Temple, which was constructed in the 16th century, and the Durgiana Temple have the same architectural ideas. Similar to the Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple is located in the center of Sarovar and contains a duplicate of the gilded dome of the old temple. There is a marble bridge that leads to the temple.The intricately carved outside walls are worth examining in detail, as is the exquisite silver mandir entrance with its religious inscriptions. The Deori is also known as the Silver Temple because of the figurines of Ganesha and Goddess Durga that are etched on the temple’s silver doors.

A childless couple expresses their desire for a child by tying a mystical thread, known as Mauli, to a banyan tree. Entry fee and timings of the Durgiana Temple, Amritsar
There is no admission charge or camera fee to enter the Durgiana Temple. The temple’s doors also open every day at 5 am and close at 9 pm.
How To Reach Durgiana TempleÂ
In the holy city of Amritsar, the Durgiana Temple is situated 1.5 km from the bus stop and a few blocks from the railway station. To get to the temple, one can rent a tuk-tuk or use a car.
