Located near the famous Bahu Fort, Jammu’s Bagh-e-bahu is a lovely and well-liked garden. This garden is a pleasure to behold, blending the tranquil atmosphere of the garden with expansive lawns, imposing fountains, quaint stone sculptures, a stunning lake, and a sizable aquarium all coming together in one gorgeous location atop a mountain overlooking the Tawi River. Both locals and visitors come here to enjoy the romantic atmosphere and peaceful, serene atmosphere that this garden offers for a leisurely evening.

A large sign that reads “Bagh-e-bahu” and is composed of little plants pruned into these shapes greets visitors as they enter. Inside, a variety of trees and flowers adorn the walkway’s sides, lending the entire area a calm atmosphere. There are several fountains in this terraced garden, each at a different level. These fountains enhance the atmosphere of the location, particularly when they are all illuminated at night.

At the highest elevation of the garden is a lake of its own. This lake’s environment is charming, with vibrant flowers around it and stone walkways that contrast to provide a striking visual contrast for onlookers. Additionally, the garden features a central water channel and waterfalls, demonstrating a keen sense of aesthetic design. This location’s stone sculptures create a calm atmosphere by blending in nicely with the surrounding vegetation.

Last but not least, this park contains the biggest fish-shaped subterranean aquarium in India, which has 24 aquarium caverns and 13 smaller caves that house freshwater and marine fish. With more than 400 kinds of freshwater and marine fish, this well-kept aquarium features cutting-edge equipment, a public gallery, a laboratory, and an intriguing museum. The entire garden, which combines the elements of soil, water, and vegetation, is a designer’s dream come true and is a must-see when visiting Jammu.
