The Sheesh Mahal, located in the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, is a stunning example of royal Rajput architecture. This magnificent structure, often called the Glass Palace of Jodhpur, is covered in elaborate mirror work from ceiling to floor. The vibrantly coloured plaster paintings of various religious figures go nicely with these ornamental decorations.

Deities such as Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva and Parvati, Lord Krishna playing the flute, and Lord Rama are shown in the many ornate panels, demonstrating the significant impact of religion and culture on the art of the era. The space is called the Hall of Mirrors because of the mirrors that are inlaid into the flooring and ceilings. Later additions to this hall include the large European chandelier and the blue, green, silver, and gold ornaments hanging on the ceiling. Maharaja Ajit Singh, who ruled Jodhpur from 1679 to 1724, slept in Sheesh Mahal in Mehrangarh.
