Lonavala Lake is situated on the fringes of Lonavala town, 2.5 kilometers from Lonavala Railway Station. The lake was constructed in 1876, and its water comes from the Indrayani River.
Because the lake fills with water during the monsoon season and dries up during the summer, it is commonly referred to as the Monsoon Lake. The lake is a popular tourist destination in Lonavala and a must-see during the rainy season. It is gushing, colorful, and simply magnificent during the monsoon. The lake’s picturesque surroundings provide the ideal setting for rest and renewal.
Activities available here include swimming and fishing. The lake’s shores are home to a variety of bird and animal species.
